Supporters of Newcastle United have well into Friday continued to lavish praise on a member of the midfield ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona.
The player in question? Pedri.
The name of youngster Pedri has of course taken its place front and centre in the football chatter across all of Europe over the last 24 hours.
This comes after the Spanish international conjured up another utterly brilliant individual display.
En route to a 2-1 victory over Newcastle in the Champions League, Pedri ran proceedings from his berth at the base of Barcelona’s midfield, combining everything from elite touch to dribbling, passing, decision-making and defensive work.
And safe to say, such excellence did not go unappreciated amongst fans of the Blaugrana’s latest opponents.
With the dust having long settled on proceedings at St. James’ Park, the Newcastle faithful have continued their Pedri love-in, with more than one Magpies supporter having gone as far as to point towards the 22-year-old as the best they have ever seen in the flesh.
