Bayern Munich star has ‘offered himself’ to Real Madrid

La Liga giants Real Madrid have been afforded the chance to bring in an altogether high-profile player on a free transfer next summer.

That’s according to Marca, who point towards Dayot Upamecano as the player in question.

Defender Upamecano is for his part currently plying his trade on the books of German champions Bayern Munich.

As things stand, though, the 26-year-old is due to see his contract terms expire in the summer of 2026.

And if the latest word stemming from the Spanish media is anything to go by, then Upamecano appears to have his sights firmly on a new challenge.

As per a report from Marca, the France international, through his representative, has offered himself to Real Madrid.

Los Blancos are known to be on the lookout for reinforcements at the back with a view to next season, with Upamecano’s compatriot, Ibrahima Konaté of Liverpool, on the radar of Florentino Pérez and co.

And though the former is not considered a priority at present, Real Madrid are expected to take his signing into consideration over the months ahead.
