Bayern Munich star Harry Kane responds to Barcelona links

Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane has spoken out on the ongoing speculation linking him with a move to Spain with Barcelona.

The Englishman sat down for an interview with German outlet BILD this week, during which he was drawn on a whole host of topics.

One such focus came in the form of the near-constant links between he and La Liga champions Barcelona.

The 32-year-old, despite his advancing years, is widely reported to have been earmarked by the Camp Nou brass as the long-term successor to Robert Lewandowski.

Questioned on the Blaugrana and a potential move to Catalunya’s capital by BILD (as cited by Goal), however, Kane was keen to play the speculation down.

“I haven’t had any contact with anyone, nobody has contacted me,” the former Tottenham man began. “I feel very comfortable in the current situation, even though we haven’t yet discussed my situation with Bayern.”

Kane continued:

“There’s no rush. I’m really happy in Munich. You can see that in the way I’m playing. If there’s contact, then we’ll see. But I’m not thinking about the new season yet. First up is the World Cup in the summer. And it’s very unlikely that anything will change after this season.”
