Barcelona’s reluctant January sale gets the ‘here we go’

La Liga giants Barcelona have this weekend put the finishing touches on a deal to part ways with Pedro ‘Dro’ Fernández.

This comes amid confirmation of Paris Saint-Germain striking a definitive agreement with the Blaugrana for the talented 18-year-old.

As per a report from market insider Fabrizio Romano on Sunday:

‘Dro to Paris Saint-Germain, deal confirmed and here we go! All sealed after positive talks PSG-Barça on fee slightly higher than €6m release clause as revealed yesterday.’

Youngster Dro departs Barcelona after making the call to move on in search of more regular senior playing time over the 2nd half of the campaign.

To this point in the term, the Spaniard has been afforded a total of five appearances by Hansi Flick and his staff.

Aware of the competition in front of him in the attacking midfield pecking order in Catalunya’s capital, Dro therefore evidently concluded that his minutes were unlikely to increase any time soon, seeking out a new adventure in France with PSG.
