Barcelona star Marc Bernal has taken to social media, to send a message of encouragement the way of teammate Andreas Christensen.
This of course comes fresh off the latter being condemned to an incoming spell on the sidelines.
Stopper Christensen has for his part been forced to deal with an altogether difficult last 24 hours.
After word was forthcoming that the Dane had been ruled out of Barcelona’s meeting with Villarreal through injury, confirmation of the extent of his problem was unveiled.
As per a statement across the Blaugrana’s website and social media platforms:
‘The first team player Andreas Christensen has a partial tear of the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee as the result of an unfortunate twist of the knee in Saturday’s training session. After tests carried out on the player, a conservative course of treatment has been chosen. The player’s recovery time will depend on his progress.’
Christensen, as a result, is thought to be facing up to several months on the treatment table in Catalunya’s capital.
And as alluded to above, upon learning of as much, one fellow member of Hansi Flick’s squad was quick to send a heartfelt message the way of the former Chelsea man.
After returning from a full year of absence through an ACL tear earlier this season, Marc Bernal took to Instagram, to write:
‘Much strength, brother. You will return stronger. We are all with you.’
