Barcelona’s Lamine Yamal reveals thank you message to João Félix after goal vs Osasuna

Barcelona youngster Lamine Yamal has this evening revealed his gratitude to teammate João Félix, on the back of his latest goal for the club.

Yamal, of course, was back on the score sheet a short time ago.

After being introduced off the bench in Barcelona’s Supercopa de España semi-final meeting with Osasuna, the 16-year-old put the finishing touches on a 2-0 Blaugrana victory, courtesy of an injury-time strike.

His fine left-footed finish came only after an equally impressive assist, laid on by fellow substitute João Félix.

Speaking to the media post-match, Yamal was in turn drawn on the strike which saw him make history, as the youngest goalscorer in the history of the Spanish Super Cup.

The prodigious attacker, though, was instead keen to turn focus to the role played by the under-fire Félix in his goal, confirming that he personally ‘thanked’ his attacking partner in crime for his creative efforts:

“I thanked João Félix for the assist,” Yamal began. “I’m very happy for the goal.”
