Barcelona starlet Lamine Yamal today provided an insight into the sternest challenge put before him by an opposing defender, across his fledgling career to date.
Lamine, of course, has already tested his talents against a whole host of standout performers in Spain, and on the continent alike.
This comes with the wide-man, despite still being just 16 years of age, having featured prominently for Barcelona in both La Liga and the Champions League.
Not only that, but Lamine has taken to the pitch on four occasions with the Spanish national team, too.
Speaking during an extensive interview released on Barcelona’s official website earlier today, the young attacker was therefore asked directly ‘which defender has been toughest to beat?’ in one-on-one situations.
And Lamine went on to put rivalries aside, in pointing towards a key member of the defensive ranks at arch rivals Real Madrid.
The player in question? Ferland Mendy.
“In the Spanish Super Cup final, it was really tough against Ferland Mendy,” he explained.
