Barcelona’s supporters will no doubt be highly appreciative of one particular comment laid out by manager Hansi Flick on the back of the club’s latest outing.
Barca, of course, are fresh off a rip-roaring victory last night.
After making the trip to the Spanish capital for a showdown with arch rivals Real Madrid, the Blaugrana ran riot, en route to an eventual 4-0 triumph.
This rounded out a superb week for Flick’s troops following the international break, culminating in dominant victories over all of Sevilla, Bayern Munich, and Real.
Now sitting pretty six points clear atop the La Liga summit, and firmly back on track on the continent, Barcelona could not be blamed if, even momentarily, they took their collective foot off the gas.
Safe to say, however, that if boss Hansi Flick has anything to do with it, then no such let-up will be forthcoming.
Speaking in the aftermath of Saturday’s Clásico domination, Barca’s headmaster was absolutely unwavering in confirming:
“We have no time to celebrate. We have to face Espanyol next.”
