Barcelona’s board are ‘angry’ with one member of Hansi Flick’s squad

The brass at La Liga champions Barcelona have been left angered by the recent behaviour of a leading member of the club’s first-team squad.

That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who point towards Marc-André ter Stegen as the player in question.

Goalkeeper Ter Stegen is of course fresh off making public his decision to undergo surgery over the days ahead.

Owing to a long-standing back problem, the German is set to go under the knife, with a view to returning to full fitness this coming season.

Ter Stegen made his decision known courtesy of a statement across social media on Wednesday evening:

As much, however, did not go down at all well with whose behind the scenes at the Camp Nou.

As per a report from MD:

‘FC Barcelona are angry at him for setting deadlines for his recovery from surgery before undergoing surgery. Barça recommended Ter Stegen to issue a joint statement about his injury at the same time (as the club), but the German wanted to get ahead of himself with a letter on social media in Catalan.’
