La Liga giants Barcelona are closing on a deal for their 2nd signing of the summer transfer window.
That’s according to Blaugrana insider Gerard Romero, who has on Thursday provided an insight into the latest developments behind the scenes at the Camp Nou.
The subject of additions to Hansi Flick’s squad has of course dominated the headlines in Catalunya’s capital over the last 48 hours.
This comes, first, after Barcelona announced their first signing of the summer, in Espanyol goalkeeper Joan García.
Then, on Thursday, it was confirmed that the Spanish champions have reached an agreement on the terms of a contract with Athletic Club winger Nico Williams.
And if ensuing word stemming from the media in the hours since is anything to go by, then Nico’s arrival at the Camp Nou, in turn, can be considered as all but imminent.
As per a report from Gerard Romero, speaking on his official Twitch channel:
“Nico Williams to Barça is about 98% done.”
