An up-and-coming member of the attacking ranks at La Liga champions Barcelona has this week been tipped for a place in the club’s senior matchday setup this coming weekend.
The player in question? Juan Hernández.
Youngster Juan, for his part, has seen his name emerge as a prominent one in the chatter behind the scenes in Catalunya’s capital across the week to date.
As much comes with the 18-year-old having been afforded an ongoing place in first-team training by Hansi Flick.
Barcelona are of course experiencing something of an injury crisis at present, with the likes of Raphinha, Dani Olmo and Robert Lewandowski expected to miss this weekend’s La Liga clash with Girona.
And such developments could yet see the door opened further for the aforementioned Juan.
As per journalist Jaume Marcet, speaking during an appearance on Jijantes:
“I believe the bet will be Juan Hernández to be called up. He’s having a spectacular season, but if Flick is looking for a pure ‘9’, it’s Víctor Barberá.”
