Barcelona starlet Dani Rodríguez saw his first-team debut come to an end in devastating circumstances on Saturday evening.
This comes after the 19-year-old was forced into a premature departure from the Blaugrana’s latest outing.
Barcelona are of course currently locked in action on the La Liga front, having made the trip to the already-relegated Real Valladolid.
The evening’s visitors, as things stand, find themselves behind, owing to an early strike on the part of Iván Sánchez.
And as alluded to above, Barca’s difficult start at the Estadio José Zorrilla has not been confined solely to the scoreline.
Young winger Dani Rodríguez was on Saturday afforded an altogether surprising first-ever start at senior level, taking his place on the right of Hansi Flick’s frontline.
Late in the first-half, however, the Spaniard went to ground clutching his shoulder, in evident discomfort.
After being tended to by the Blaugrana’s medical team, it quickly became clear that Rodríguez was in no condition to continue, with the attacker having been hauled off for Lamine Yamal as a result.
