An up-and-coming member of the defensive ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona is on the verge of a move to England, with West Ham United.
That’s according to Diario Sport, who point towards Héctor Fort as the player in question.
The name of youngster Fort has reemerged as an altogether prominent one in the media chatter surrounding Barcelona across the day to date.
This comes after the 19-year-old was a notable absence from training alongside the rest of Hansi Flick’s squad on Friday morning.
And as much, it would appear, comes with Fort closing on an upcoming move to the Premier League.
As per a report from Sport, despite links with a whole host of other clubs over the course of the last couple of weeks, Fort is now close to joining West Ham:
‘West Ham are willing to formalise a loan for the player. The operation is well on track and could come to fruition next week despite the fact that there are other teams that are still in the bidding.’
