La Liga giants Barcelona have earmarked a member of the defensive ranks at Inter Milan as a key transfer target ahead of the summer transfer window.
This comes amid the understanding that Alessandro Bastoni is back firmly in the sights of the Blaugrana.
The Camp Nou brass are widely understood to be on the lookout for reinforcements at the heart of defence with a view to the 2026/27 campaign.
A shortlist of targets has in turn been drawn up, featuring names from across the continent and beyond.
The name of the aforementioned Bastoni, though, stands out above all others.
Boasting equal excellence both on and off the ball, the Italian international is considered the perfect addition to Hansi Flick’s ranks at the back.
As per a report from Fichajes:
‘Deco is clear that his favorite to reinforce the defence is Alessandro Bastoni. The Italian center-back, currently at Inter Milan, possesses all the qualities the Catalan club is looking for.’
The issue for Barcelona comes in the form of Bastoni’s price-tag. Inter Milan, it is claimed, would demand a fee in the region of €80 million just to come to the table for negotiations surrounding the potential sale of their defensive standout.
