Barcelona transfer target searching for a house in the city

A headline member of the summer transfer wishlist at La Liga giants Barcelona has kicked into gear a search for a new house in Catalunya’s capital.

The player in question? Julián Alvarez.

Frontman Alvarez has of course seen his name take its place centre stage in the transfer chatter across Spain for several months now.

This comes amid the widespread understanding that the Atlético Madrid standout has been placed at the very top of Barcelona’s shortlist of targets for next season.

The Blaugrana are preparing for life without one or potentially both of Robert Lewandowski and Ferran Torres, with Alvarez considered a seamless fit in Hansi Flick’s attacking setup.

And as alluded to above, if the latest word stemming from the media on Friday is anything to go by, then interest in a joining of forces between the parties appears to be very much mutual.

As per a report from Diario Sport, citing TNT Sports Mexico:

‘The brothers of the Argentine striker are in Barcelona looking for a house.’

Not only that, but:

‘According to Argentine journalist Emiliano Raggi, the player’s entourage would already be exploring options in the Catalan capital, too.’
