La Liga giants Barcelona’s deal for Karim Adeyemi has on Sunday moved ever closer to becoming a reality. This comes after Borussia Dortmund all but confirmed the departure of their explosive attacker.
Adeyemi has of course taken his place front and centre in the media headlines in Spain over the last 24 hours.
After word was forthcoming that Barcelona had opened negotiations with their counterparts at Dortmund over a deal for the 24-year-old, ensuing reports pointed towards an agreement having been reached.
The final details, in turn, were all that remained to be put in place before Adeyemi travels to Catalunya’s capital to undergo a medical and sign his Blaugrana contract.
And as alluded to above, on Sunday, these developments moved a step closer.
As confirmed in a statement across Dortmund’s social media platforms, Adeyemi and Kjell Wätjen were excused from pre-season medical testing ‘for talks with other clubs’.
