The powers that be at La Liga leaders Barcelona are preparing a letter, to be sent to the RFEF.
This comes with a view to Lamine Yamal remaining in Catalunya’s capital for the upcoming November international break.
The name of Lamine has taken its place front and centre in the headlines in Spain late on Sunday evening.
As much comes after the 17-year-old was at the last minute omitted from Hansi Flick’s Barcelona squad to face Real Sociedad.
The Blaugrana, in an ensuing statement, confirmed that Lamine is still dealing with the lingering effects of ‘a severe contusion from last Wednesday’s game against Red Star Belgrade’.
And, in an effort to ensure that the problem is not made worse, the board at the Camp Nou are ready to seek out Lamine’s exclusion from Luis de la Fuente’s latest Spanish squad, too.
La Roja are scheduled for a pair of Nations League fixtures over the coming week, with Lamine, as expected, having been afforded a call-up.
As revealed by Blaugrana insider Javier Miguel of Diario AS:
‘A medical report will be sent to the RFEF,’ in a bid to see Lamine relieved of his upcoming international commitments.
