Barcelona to seek €6,000 in damages from Eintracht Frankfurt

La Liga giants Barcelona have made the decision to seek out financial damages from the club’s most recent opponents in the Champions League.

This comes owing to the damage done by the travelling Eintracht Frankfurt supporters to have made the trip to the Spotify Camp Nou.

Barcelona are of course fresh off a return to winning ways on the continent last week.

After welcoming Bundesliga outfit Eintracht to Catalunya’s capital, Hansi Flick’s troops ultimately emerged on the right side of a 2-1 result.

As alluded to above, though, along the way, the Blaugrana saw their newly-renovated home ground damaged in concerning fashion.

So much so that Joan Laporta and co. have made the call to contact UEFA, in the hopes of a €6,000 payment on the part of the Eintracht Frankfurt board.

As per a report from RAC1:

‘FC Barcelona will demand €6,100 from Eintracht Frankfurt for the damages caused by their fans at Camp Nou. They broke a section of the barrier that separated them from the Barça fans. They also broke seats and threw flares, among other things.’
