Barcelona to play in 3-team mini pre-season tournament in Italy

La Liga champions Barcelona are set to play their part in a friendly pre-season tournament alongside Udinese and Nottingham Forest later this summer.

That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, citing Catalan outlet ESport3.

Barca’s pre-season fixture list has been slowly coming together over recent days, ahead of upcoming fixtures against CE Europa on July 24th, and Birmingham City a week later.

Talks over the last couple of days also culminated in Joan Laporta and co. committing to a clash with Serie A outfit Udinese in August.

And on Wednesday, this plan has been altered to include a Premier League participant, too.

As per a report from MD:

‘Besides Udinese, the Catalan club has reached an agreement to hold a three-team tournament, which will also include Nottingham Forest.’

The mini tournament in question has been pencilled in for the 8th of August, and will be contested in the city of Udine, in northeast Italy.
