La Liga champions Barcelona are expected to tie up a deal for their 2nd signing of the summer as soon as next week.
That’s according to Diario Sport, who point towards Nico Williams as the player in question.
Barcelona are of course fresh off making official their first addition of the summer earlier this week. This comes after the Blaugrana agreed to fork over goalkeeper Joan García’s Espanyol relese clause in full.
And if the latest word stemming from the media on Sunday is anything to go by, then a similar operation will be carried out with the aforementioned Nico over the days ahead.
The Camp Nou brass are known to have reached an agreement on the terms of a contract with the 22-year-old over recent days.
This comes with a view to depositing Nico’s Athletic Club buyout clause with La Liga at the earliest opportunity.
And as per a report from Sport:
‘According to Miguel Ángel López, a market specialist, the club would have everything ready to pay the termination clause next week. In this sense, his signing would be announced after July 1 with a view to starting the preseason normally under Flick.’
