Barcelona summer signing to have ‘more prominence’ in upcoming fixtures

A member of the summer recruitment drive at La Liga giants Barcelona is set to be afforded more consistent minutes moving forward.

That’s according to Diario Sport, who highlight Gabriel Jesus as the player in question.

Frontman Jesus of course took his talents to Catalunya’s capital early last week, in a late-window move from Premier League champions Arsenal.

The Brazilian has since gone on to notch a pair of appearances, one in La Liga and one the Champions League, both from the bench.

In the latter outing against Feyenoord in midweek, Jesus opened his account in Barca colours just minutes after stepping onto the pitch, courtesy of a fine headed finish.

And if the latest word stemming from the media this weekend is anything to go by, then further chances should soon be coming the way of the 29-year-old courtesy of Hansi Flick.

As per a report from Sport, amid Barcelona’s busy schedule heading into the international break:

‘The plan is for Gabriel Jesus to have more prominence as the games go by.’
