An up-and-coming member of the attacking ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona has this weekend learned his jersey number for the season ahead.
The player in question? Pau Víctor.
Frontman Víctor is for his part fresh off something of a whirlwind summer.
After his loan arrival from Girona was made permanent by the Barcelona brass, the Spaniard was thrown straight into the thick of things, with Hansi Flick’s senior squad.
And to say that Víctor went on to take advantage of as much would be something of an understatement…
Across starts in the Blaugrana’s friendly meetings with Manchester City and Real Madrid, the 22-year-old found the net on three occasions.
Such endeavours have since given rise to confirmation that Víctor will be handed a place in Barca’s first-team setup for the season ahead.
He was, in turn, registered for La Liga play on Friday evening.
And, a day on, the Spaniard’s shirt number has too been revealed.
As confirmed by way of Barcelona’s squad announcement to face Valencia in the club’s season opener, Víctor will wear the no.18 in Hansi Flick’s squad:
