Barcelona star Anthony Gordon has this weekend named the player who has surprised him most with his talents in training since his arrival in Catalunya’s capital.
Attacker Gordon of course swapped English football for Spanish this past summer, departing Newcastle United for the bright lights of Barcelona.
The 25-year-old has since settled impressively into his new surroundings at the Spotify Camp Nou, already with six direct goal contributions to his name.
Gordon has already been hailed by many for having taken his game up a level this term, having surrounded himself with some of the standout players in world football.
Speaking during an exchange with the media this weekend, the versatile frontman was therefore asked to name the Barca star who has surprised him more than any other over the last few months.
And Gordon did not opt for the likes of Lamine Yamal, Raphinha, Pedri or Rodri, instead naming Frenkie de Jong as the player in question.
