A member of the summer recruitment drive at La Liga giants Barcelona has made clear to those in a position of power at the club that he remains fully committed to matters in Catalunya’s capital.
That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who point towards Roony Bardghji as the player in question.
Youngster Bardghji of course finds himself in something of a difficult position at present.
Brought in by Barcelona earlier this summer in a cut-price deal from FC Copenhagen, the 19-year-old has been forced to watch on from afar as Hansi Flick’s troops have rattled off two consecutive victories to open the campaign.
As much comes with the Swede one of several victims of the ongoing financial problems at the Camp Nou, not yet registered for La Liga play.
Such issues had given rise to recent speculation that Bardghji could even seek a way out of Barcelona before the close of the transfer window, to ensure himself first-team football for the season ahead.
But as alluded to above, if the latest word stemming from the media on Sunday is anything to go by, this will not prove to be the case.
As per a report from MD:
‘Although the club has not yet been able to register him with the first team, the Swedish attacker is not considering any other scenario than playing for Barça this season. Sources close to the player confess to MD that Bardghji is optimistic about being registered as a first-team player.’
