The future of a leading member of the midfield ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona is not guaranteed for the season ahead.
That’s according to Marca, who point towards Fermín López as the player in question.
Midfielder Fermín has of course seen his name emerge as a prominent one in the media chatter surrounding Barcelona over the summer to date.
This comes after it was suggested that, amid their ongoing efforts to return to the 1:1 financial rule, the Blaugrana could sacrifice their talented young star.
A number of high-profile clubs, in turn, are understood to have expressed an interest in bringing Fermín in.
And as alluded to above, despite persistent assurances on the part of club and player alike that no such sale will be sanctioned, Fermín’s future beyond the deadline is not yet set in stone.
As per a report from Marca:
‘Fermín didn’t play a single minute against Levante. And we have to keep in mind that he’s another player who could leave in this transfer window. Nothing can be ruled out, even though Fermín has always said he’s not moving.’
