The brother of a member of the first-team ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona is continuing to turn heads courtesy of his performances with the club’s reserve team.
The player in question? Guillem Víctor.
Another Víctor, in the form of Pau, has of course seen his name take its place front and centre in the headlines in Catalunya’s capital across the summer to date.
As much comes with the 22-year-old, after seeing his loan move from Girona made permanent, having dazzled on Barca’s pre-season tour.
Across a pair of starts against Manchester City and Real Madrid, Víctor found the net three times, enough to carve out a place for himself in Hansi Flick’s plans for the season ahead.
And yet, as alluded to above, Pau is not the only member of his family to have made use of the summer to showcase his undoubted qualities.
So too has brother Guillem.
A versatile full-back, Guillem Víctor’s performances with Barca’s Juvenil B outfit last season culminated in a call-up to the Blaugrana’s reserves for pre-season.
And the youngster has since shone bright…
As per a report from Diario Sport:
‘Guillem has taken advantage of the rise of many youth team players to the first team to prove himself in the pre-season for Barça Atlètic. Guillem Victor is much more than Pau’s brother, he is the most versatile full-back at La Masia.’
The 17-year-old was afforded his latest appearance off the bench for Barca Atlètic this weekend, and wasted little time in finding the net en route to victory over L’Hospitalet.
A summer to remember to date in the Víctor household!
