Barcelona starlet Lamine reveals why he prefers watching Neymar to any other player

Barcelona sensation Lamine Yamal has on Friday provided an insight into his appreciation for a former member of the Blaugrana’s attacking ranks.

The player in question? Neymar.

Wide-man Neymar of course spent four glittering years of his career lining out at the Camp Nou, between 2013 and 2017.

The Brazilian, across this stint, established himself as one of world football’s standout performers, with his guile, quick feet and penchant for the spectacular having endeared him to the Barca faithful.

And whilst many still hold a grudge owing to the nature of his departure for Paris Saint-Germain in the summer of 2017, one member of the current playing setup in Catalunya’s capital, evidently, does not.

Speaking in an interview with Mundo Deportivo this week, Lamine Yamal was drawn on Neymar’s talents once more, having previously made public the fact that the now-32-year-old represents one of his Barcelona idols.

Asked specifically why he enjoyed watching Neymar more than any other player at the time, the 16-year-old explained:

“Because he made me go to watch the games, he made me have fun, it was a show, it was great to see him play.”
