Barcelona star warned he will have ‘no minutes’ next season

A member of the first-team ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona will have little to no playing time, in the case of staying put for next season.

That’s according to Diario Sport, who name Marc-André ter Stegen as the player in question.

Goalkeeper Ter Stegen has of course been heavily linked with a move away from Catalunya’s capital ahead of the upcoming summer transfer window.

With Barcelona all set to land Joan García from Espanyol, and Wojciech Szczęsny expected to stay put for next season, Barcelona’s long-time no.1 has found himself as the odd man out.

Ter Stegen, for his part, has more than once reiterated to the media of late that his intention remains to stay put at the Camp Nou through 2025/26.

But should the 33-year-old point-blank refuse to depart, then he can look forward to a season in the stands.

As per a report from Sport:

‘The German must decide to leave, or stay in the team with no minutes.’
