A member of the goalkeeper ranks at La Liga champions Barcelona is ready to accelerate his departure efforts over the coming days.
That’s according to Marca, who point towards Iñaki Peña as the player in question.
Goalkeeper Peña is of course widely expected to be on the move before the summer is out.
With Joan García on his way in at the Camp Nou, and Wojciech Szczęsny expected to stay put for next season, the Spaniard is aware that game time would be at a premium in Hansi Flick’s squad in 2025/26.
Club and player alike are therefore on the lookout for a new home for Peña.
And as alluded to above, if the latest word stemming from the media this week is anything to go by, then the 26-year-old himself is now ready to speed up the process.
As per a report from Marca, amid interest in his services from a number of clubs across the continent:
‘Peña’s intention is to play abroad, where he has several offers on the table. And the decision won’t be long in coming. The goalkeeper wants to have everything finalized before Barcelona begins pre-season training (on July 13th).’
