An update on the wellbeing of Barcelona star Gavi has this week come to the fore online.
And the news is of a less than encouraging nature for all of a Blaugrana persuasion…
This comes amid the understanding that, as of this moment, the midfield starlet is unlikely to return to the pitch before March of next year.
Gavi has for his part been sidelined since back in September.
This comes after what was expected to be a routine procedure on the Spaniard’s knee unveiled a far more serious problem than hoped.
Operated on in a more aggressive manner as a result, it was in turn confirmed that Gavi was facing up to a long-term absence.
And as alluded to above, this week, an update on the situation has surfaced.
As per a report from Mundo Deportivo, with Barcelona ready to exercise maximum caution to reduce the risk of a further setback as much as possible, the 22-year-old is unlikely to be back in contention to take to the pitch until early March.
