Barcelona star Frenkie de Jong will not be available for the club’s next outing.
This comes after the Dutchman was shown a red card in the Blaugrana’s meeting with Celta Vigo.
Barca were of course back in action a short time ago, making the trip to Balaídos for a La Liga meeting with the aforementioned Celta.
Frenkie de Jong for his part featured from the off in the fixture, from his customary berth in the middle of the park.
En route to an eventual 4-2 Barca triumph, however, the former Ajax man was given his marching orders deep into injury time.
After being shown a yellow card not long before, De Jong was responsible for a late challenge on Iago Aspas, culminating in his 2nd booking.
The 28-year-old will therefore be suspended for Barcelona’s next outing, when Hansi Flick’s troops welcome former manager Ernesto Valverde’s Athletic Club to Catalunya on November 22nd.
