Barcelona star to miss ‘at least’ five matches with injury

A member of the midfield ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona is expected to miss a minimum of five matches over the weeks ahead.

That’s according to Diario AS, who point to Dani Olmo as the player in question.

Attacking midfielder Olmo is for his part of course fresh off being condemned to an incoming spell on the sidelines.

This comes owing to an injury setback suffered whilst on international duty with Spain.

The 27-year-old was forced to return to base in Catalunya’s capital earlier today, ahead of an incoming round of medical scans and tests.

The understanding is that Olmo has suffered a torn calf muscle in his left leg. If this proves to be the case, the former RB Leipzig man is facing up to a spell of at least four weeks on the sidelines.

This, as per AS, would mean Olmo missing, at minimum, the following upcoming fixtures:

Girona, Olympiacos, Real Madrid, Elche, and Club Brugge.
