Barcelona star to miss ‘a minimum’ of 4 weeks with injury

An insight into the extent of the incoming injury absence facing Barcelona star Robert Lewandowski has on Tuesday been forthcoming online.

The name of frontman Lewandowski has of course dominated the headlines in Catalunya’s capital across the day to date.

This comes after word was forthcoming that the former Bayern Munich man was the latest addition to Barcelona’s growing injury list.

Lewandowski was back in action on the international front over the weekend, and managed to find the net in a 2-0 victory over Lithuania.

Along the way, however, the Pole suffered an injury setback.

As per a statement across Barcelona’s social media platforms on Tuesday morning:

‘Robert Lewandowski has suffered a muscle tear in the biceps femoris of his left thigh. His recovery time will depend on how the injury evolves.’

So, just how long is Hansi Flick likely to be without his veteran goalscorer?

As per a report from Barca insider Javier Miguel of Diario AS, Lewandowski is facing up to ‘a minimum’ of four weeks on the treatment table.
