La Liga giants Barcelona expect to have Alejandro Balde fit and available to feature in their upcoming meeting with Chelsea.
This comes after the 22-yer-old set alarm bells sounding in Catalunya’s capital on Saturday evening.
Balde was for his part in from the off, as Barcelona welcomed Athletic Club to the Spotify Camp Nou for a La Liga clash.
En route to a 4-0 Blaugrana triumph, however, the left-back was hooked from proceedings at the interval.
Balde was involved in a heavy collision during the first-half this evening, which left the Spaniard floored and holding his head.
Amid fears of a potential concussion, the hosts’ medical staff therefore made the call to haul him off.
An ensuing round of tests, however, have confirmed some welcome positive news for club and player alike.
As per a report from Barcelona insider Javier Miguel of Diario AS:
‘[There is] calm with Balde. He came off as a precaution due to feeling a bit dizzy. OK for London.’
Barca are of course primed to jet out to England’s capital early next week, ahead of locking horns with Chelsea in the Champions League.
