A member of the attacking ranks at La Liga champions Barcelona has this week been tipped for what would be a shock move to arch rivals Real Madrid.
This comes amid claims of Los Blancos expressing an interest in the signature of Ferran Torres.
Frontman Ferran has of course dominated the headlines across world football for several days now. Introduced off the bench during the World Cup final showdown between Spain and Argentina, the 26-year-old went on to notch the game’s only goal in extra-time.
As alluded to above, though, on Tuesday, it is Ferran’s situation at club level which has come under the microscope in the media.
As per a report from French outlet L’Équipe, as cited by Mundo Deportivo, Real Madrid are the latest club to express an interest in bringing the versatile attacker in for next season.
Ferran has been heavily linked with a move away from the Spotify Camp Nou this summer, ahead of the expiration of his Barcelona contract in 12 months’ time.
And though European champions Paris Saint-Germain remain the favourites to strike a deal, Real Madrid, amid a search for attacking reinforcements, are ready to throw their hat in the ring, too.
