Barcelona star Joan García was targeted in nothing short of ruthless fashion by the home crowd in attendance at the Blaugrana’s meeting with Espanyol on Saturday.
This of course comes after the shot-stopper departed the RCDE Stadium for Espanyol’s arch rivals over the summer.
Joan, in turn, made the trip back to his former stomping grounds for the first time this evening.
And safe to say, the Espanyol faithful have evidently not yet forgiven their side’s former no.1 for his summer choice…
Prior to kick-off, Joan was spotted on a series of banners, flags and more, in which the Spaniard was depicted as a rat:
Upon Joan emerging for his warm-up ahead of proceedings getting underway in Catalunya, he was then subjected to a relentless round of boos, whistles and jeers.
And the same treatment has since continued across the action to date at the RCDE Stadium.
As things stand in the fixture, the two sides remain deadlocked at 0-0.
