Barcelona star suffers injury in warmup vs Celta Vigo

La Liga champions Barcelona have on Sunday been dealt a fresh setback on the personnel front.

This comes after Marc Casadó was forced into a last-minute withdrawal from the Blaugrana’s starting XI to face Celta Vigo.

Midfielder Casadó was initially named amongst Hansi Flick’s starters to take to the pitch at Balaídos this evening.

This came amid the ongoing injury absence of teammate Pedri.

As kick-off fast approached in Vigo, however, word was forthcoming that the Spanish international had also been ruled out for the clash.

This came as a result of an unspecified fitness problem.

Casadó, in turn, was replaced in Barca’s line-up by Dani Olmo, culminating in a shake-up in the visitors’ engine room setup.

Barcelona since quickly put their latest injury setback behind them courtesy of an early Robert Lewandowski penalty at Balaídos, only to concede at the other end a minute later through Sergio Carreira.
