Barcelona star speaks on possible January departure

Barcelona star Roony Bardghji has late this week responded to the speculation linking him with a move away from the club.

Youngster Bardghji of course only took his talents to Catalunya’s capital this past summer.

Ahead of the expiration of his contract terms with Copenhagen late this year, Barcelona snapped the 20-year-old up in a cut-price transfer.

Bardghji has since gone on to play something of a bit-part role in Hansi Flick’s squad, still adapting to the challenges posed by life at one of Europe’s top clubs.

Sitting behind Lamine Yamal in the right wing pecking order, the Swede has all told been afforded nine appearances for Barca to date.

With just two having come from the off, though, rumours had already begun to spread that Bardghji could be on the move in January.

Drawn on such a possibility during an interview with Fotbolskanalen, as cited by Mundo Deportivo, however, the attacker was quick to assure that he is more than happy in his new home:

“That’s what the media writes. But I’m having a great time and I have a good relationship with Hansi, who is an incredible coach. He and the club trust me, which means a lot. I feel great. I’m improving every day and learning a lot. I’ve had plenty of playing time, so I feel great. I’m patient. I’ve been here for three or four months.”
