Barcelona star Dani Olmo has moved to reject claims that those behind the scenes in Catalunya’s capital have fallen out with their counterparts in the Spanish national team.
This of course comes amid a fresh round of drama involving the parties this week.
After Lamine Yamal was forced to withdraw from international duty owing to a round of pubalgia treatment overseen by Barcelona, the RFEF released a scathing statement, confirming their ‘surprise and discomfort’.
As much came fresh off the back of something of a war of words between Hansi Flick and Luis de la Fuente in the media, centering on Lamine’s fitness, and what was considered by Barca to be a lack of care on the part of Spain.
Speaking during his own appearance in front of the press this week, the subject of the tensions between his club and country was therefore put to one of the winger’s teammates, in Dani Olmo.
And Olmo, in quotes provided to Radioestadio Noche, went on to assure:
“The relationship between Barça and the RFEF? There’s no problem. Everyone wants him to be 100%. He’s used to people talking about him.”
