A member of the attacking ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona on Sunday night made use of the opportunity to send something of a message to manager Hansi Flick.
The player in question? Ferran Torres.
Frontman Ferran is for his part of course fresh off another starring display yesterday evening.
Afforded a starting berth in Barcelona’s La Liga meeting with Getafe, the former Manchester City man proved himself the game’s standout performer, courtesy of a brace.
As much added to what has been a fine opening to the campaign all told on Ferran’s part.
Now considered to be a legitimate rival to Robert Lewandowski for starting duties, the Spanish international has notched five direct goal contributions in six appearances in 2025/26.
Speaking to the media on the back of the full-time whistle at the Estadi Johan Cruyff, Ferran therefore sent a clear message to manager Hansi Flick and his staff:
“I’ve said it so many times already. I can be a starter for FC Barcelona. More will come.”
