Barcelona star ruled out of the club’s next two fixtures

La Liga giants Barcelona will be forced to make do without the contributions of summer signing Joan García for the club’s next two outings.

That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who have on Thursday provided the latest on the Spaniard’s injury recovery efforts.

Shot-stopper Joan has for his part been sidelined since late last month. This comes after the 24-year-old was forced to go under the knife to repair a knee injury.

He had since been spotted back out on the grass at the Ciutat Esportiva this week, giving rise to a potentially imminent return to the pitch.

As alluded to above, however, as much will have to wait.

As per a report from Mundo Deportivo, Joan has already been ‘ruled out’ of Barca’s upcoming clashes against both Elche, and Club Brugge.

He could yet feature versus Celta Vigo in Barca’s final fixture before the November international break, but it is also entirely possible that the former Espanyol man will not be risked, amid the fine form being showcased by Wojciech Szczęsny.
