A member of the attacking ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona played through a fitness problem in the club’s weekend showdown with Real Madrid.
That’s according to Tot Costa of Cat Radio, who highlight Raphinha as the player in question.
Wide-man Raphinha of course proved himself one of the stars of the show last Sunday, in the season’s latest edition of El Clásico.
En route to Barcelona retaining their Spanish Super Cup title at the expense of Real Madrid, the former Leeds United man was the decisive figure, notching a brace in a 3-2 triumph.
And all of this, it has since been revealed, came with Raphinha having been some way off full fitness.
As per a report from Tot Costa, the Brazilian international was actually a major doubt to feature from the off in El Clásico.
Raphinha himself, however, assured the Barcelona coaching staff that he was fit and raring to go, and the rest, as they say, is history…
