The celebration made use of by Barcelona star Pedri on the international stage on Saturday night has turned heads across the Blaugrana’s fanbase.
This comes after the midfielder took the opportunity to pay something of a tribute to the club’s greatest-ever player.
Pedri, for his part, is fresh off an outing to remember on Saturday.
Afforded a starting berth in Spain’s final warm-up fixture ahead of the European Championships, the 21-year-old dazzled from his berth in the middle of the park.
After first drawing La Roja on level terms against Northern Ireland courtesy of a brilliant long-range strike, Pedri was later at the double, arriving late in the penalty area to slot home Nico Williams’ cross from close range.
As much proved the catalyst for a comeback 5-1 victory for the Spanish.
Such exploits on Pedri’s part went down an absolute treat amongst those of a Barcelona persuasion, eager to see their side’s engine room gem return to his brilliant best with a view to next season.
And yet, as alluded to above, it was the actions of the former Las Palmas talent in the aftermath of one of his goals on Saturday which have since piqued widespread attentions in Catalunya’s capital.
This comes after Pedri made use of his celebration to pay tribute to none other than Blaugrana icon Lionel Messi.
