Barcelona star Marc Casadó would take into consideration a move to La Liga rivals Atlético Madrid before the month is out.
That’s according to journalist Ferran Martinez of Mundo Deportivo, who has early this week provided an insight into the situation.
Midfielder Casadó is for his part currently in the midst of a difficult stretch in Catalunya’s capital.
Sitting behind the likes of Frenkie de Jong, Pedri and even Eric García in the engine room pecking order in Hansi Flick’s Barcelona squad, the Spanish international has not started a single fixture since all the way back in November.
Such woes have given rise to inevitable speculation surrounding Casadó’s future, amid suggestions that he could be on the move before the month is out.
And as alluded to above, one potential landing spot floated in the media once more on Monday comes in the form of Atlético Madrid.
As per a report from Mundo Deportivo:
‘Mateu Alemany considers Casadó as a replacement for (Conor) Gallagher. Marc, who has always prioritized Barça, is already aware of the colchonero interest and does not view this option unfavourably.’
It is also noted that Manchester United and Wolverhampton Wanderers are ‘closely following’ Casadó’s situation.
