Barcelona star Lamine Yamal has secured his place on the shortlist of nominees for the next Puskás award.
This comes owing to the youngster’s moment of magic for the Blaugrana in a Catalan Derby meeting with Espanyol back in May of this year.
Picking the ball up in his customary berth on the right flank, Lamine cut inside onto his left, before picking out the far top corner courtesy of a sumptuous strike:
The Puskás award, named after Real Madrid legend Ferenc Puskás, is handed out on an annual basis by FIFA.
The prize aims to recognise the standout goal scored across world football over the prior 12 months.
Previous winners include the likes of Olivier Giroud, Mohamed Salah and, most recently, Alejandro Garnacho.
