Barcelona star misses training ahead of Daegu clash

A member of the attacking ranks at La Liga champions Barcelona was forced to sit out training on Saturday, owing to a fitness concern.

That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who point towards Ferran Torres as the player in question.

Frontman Ferran is for his part of course fresh off another productive outing in Blaugrana colours earlier this week.

Introduced off the bench during his side’s friendly meeting with FC Seoul, the Spanish international went on to notch a fine brace, continuing to put pressure on Robert Lewandowski for starting duties in the process.

As alluded to above, however, Ferran’s participation in the final outing of Barca’s pre-season tour of Asia has now been thrown into doubt.

As per a report from MD:

‘Ferran Torres did not participate with the rest of his teammates in FC Barcelona’s second training session this Saturday at the Paju National Football Center.’

As much came owing to what is described as an ‘overload’, with it now remaining to be seen whether or not the former Manchester City man is risked against FC Daegu on Monday.
