Barcelona star misses training again on eve of Athletic Club meeting

La Liga giants Barcelona look increasingly likely to be forced to make do without the services of Marcus Rashford in the club’s next outing.

This comes after the Englishman missed training for the 2nd day in succession on Friday.

Frontman Rashford was a notable absence from group activities at the Ciutat Esportiva on Thursday morning.

At the time, it was suggested that as much came as a result of a personal issue.

It has since been revealed, however, that the 28-year-old is in fact dealing with a sudden case of illness.

And as alluded to above, on Friday, as much proved enough to rule Rashford out of training with Hansi Flick’s squad once again.

As per a report from Jijantes, on the eve of their return to La Liga action following the international break, Barcelona’s players were put through their paces in a session on the grass at 11AM.

Almost two hours earlier, though, the in-form Rashford had both arrived and left, whilst feeling unwell.

His status to face Athletic Club in the Blaugrana’s Spotify Camp Nou return on Saturday has therefore been thrown up in the air.
