A leading member of the attacking ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona was again absent from group training on Thursday morning.
That’s according to Diario Sport, who point towards Robert Lewandowski as the player in question.
Frontman Lewandowski was for his part condemned to a spell on the sidelines last week.
This came after word was forthcoming that the Pole had suffered a muscular injury during pre-season training.
The former Bayern Munich man, in turn, saw his status for Barcelona’s season opener against RCD Mallorca this weekend thrown up in the air.
And as alluded to above, just two days out from the trip to Son Moix, the signs do not look particularly positive for Lewandowski.
As confirmed by Sport, the 36-year-old was put through an individualised training session away from the rest of Hansi Flick’s squad on Thursday.
It is in turn beginning to look increasingly that Lewandowski will be available to play his part against Mallorca.
