Barcelona star Jules Koundé this week finds himself at the heart of a fresh round of speculation regarding a potential incoming transfer to the Premier League.
This comes amid the understanding that the Frenchman has made his way firmly into the sights of Tottenham Hotspur.
The Spurs brass are understood to be eyeing reinforcements in the defensive third with a view to the new campaign. Koundé, capable of lining out at either centre-back or right-back, has in turn been identified as the ideal fit.
The 27-year-old endured something of a difficult time of things at club level last season, but provided a reminder of his unquestionable talents with France at this summer’s World Cup.
According to Mundo Deportivo, citing several sources in England, the board at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium are therefore considering a €65 million approach for Koundé’s signature.
It is also noted, however, that:
‘His transfer doesn’t seem very likely because Barcelona count on him, not only as a full-back but also as a centre-back.’
