Barcelona star limps out of training before Real Sociedad clash

Alarm bells were set ringing at La Liga champions Barcelona on Saturday.

This came after another member of Hansi Flick’s squad was forced to withdraw from training owing to a fitness problem.

The subject of injury woes has of course dominated the headlines in Catalunya’s capital over the last 24 hours.

As much comes after not one, but two fresh setbacks on the personnel front were announced by Barcelona.

Following the Blaugrana’s 3-1 downing of Real Oviedo on Thursday, both Raphinha and Joan García were subjected to incoming spells on the sidelines.

With the likes of Gavi and Fermín López already out of action, the last thing which Hansi Flick and his staff would in turn have needed was another fitness problem.

But as alluded to above, on Saturday, precisely as much was revealed.

As per a report from Mundo Deportivo:

‘Hansi Flick’s coaching staff is keeping an eye on Marc Casadó, who withdrew today before the end of the training session ahead of tomorrow’s match against Real Sociedad due to physical discomfort.’

Midfielder Casadó’s issue is not understood to be a serious one, but the 22-year-old’s status for tomorrow’s clash with Real Sociedad has nevertheless been thrown into doubt.
